A culture and heritage tour of Brazil – in Selfridges.
After Selfridges decided to base its latest branding campaign on Brazil, the vacuum cleaner led a tour of 30 people around the most authentic Brazilian cultural experience Birmingham city centre had to offer (see Brazil 40).
Tourists were given a view of the country through the eyes of Selfridges. Very real, we can tell you. Weather: designer handbags. Currency: loyalty points. Local wildlife: shop assistants.
Brazilian men love to wear designer brands, they can all afford them, there is no poverty in Brazil, and anything you’ve heard otherwise is a lie.
Unfortunately, inside, the vacuum cleaner and the tourists were not welcome by the Brazilian police, who very quickly assaulted our cameraman and called the real police to throw us all out. Which, incidentally, was not part of the act.
Thanks to the a2rt crew.
